Part-Time Vicar Ellesmere Parish

The Ellesmere Parish is looking for a Vicar to preach God’s word in our semi‐rural parish. Ellesmere lies within the Selwyn District, the fastest growing district in New Zealand. As a result of this growth the community balance is shifting from mainly farming with small rural support towns, to a mixture of farms, lifestyle blocks and township residents.
The parish is in the challenging position of meeting the needs of the existing congregation, while finding new ways to encourage more families and residents to become active in faith, worship and service. This challenge requires a vicar who can communicate clearly and build cohesive working groups.
