ACCOUNTANT

Would you like to be part of a dedicated, innovative and friendly team committed to enlivening communities and bringing transformational change?  Have you ever wanted to have a role that connects your faith and financial skills for good? The Anglican Diocese of Nelson is seeking an experienced Accountant for its sunny Nelson-based office to support its mission across the top of the South Island.  Working with the finance team, you will be responsible for assisting the Finance Manager in the accounting functions for the Diocese and its Trust Board, including producing timely management accounts, GST returns, and supporting the 24 parishes with their accounting and administration requirements. You will have administration/accounting staff members reporting to you who are responsible for the day to day running of the Diocese Creditors and Payroll systems.  As a key member of staff, you will have great interpersonal and communication skills, quality technical experience in finance, audit, and be committed to supporting the vision, mission, and values of the Diocese.  This position is only open to those with the right to work in New Zealand.
