Te Waiora Retreat House Hosts - Hororata (live-in) - Applications close Friday 31 January 2020.

Te Waiora Christian Trust operates a retreat house in Hororata, Canterbury which accommodates up to 10 overnight guests at one time, and which also caters to day groups.  Hosts for the retreat house provide welcoming hospitality to guests, including catering as required, as well as being responsible for day to day administration including managing all bookings and enquiries.  They are also responsible for the cleanliness and tidiness of the house and grounds, with assistance provided by casual cleaners and a committed group of volunteers.
Accommodation is provided in a modern one-bedroom flat attached to the main house.  There may be opportunity for a co-hosting arrangement with accommodation in a 2-bedroom cottage also available on the site.
The position is remunerated, albeit at a modest level.  The ideal candidates will see this as a ministry to which they have been called, and will be people of prayer and discernment. 
This is an opportunity to live in a beautiful peaceful rural location, as part of a Christian community which offers rest and respite to those staying at Te Waiora House.

The 1992 Constitution of this Church provides for three partners to order their affairs within their own cultural context. Within Aotearoa New Zealand, Tikanga Pakeha comprises seven Dioceses, Tikanga Maori comprises five Amorangi, the boundaries of which differ from those of the dioceses. Tikanga Pasefika encompasses Fiji, Tonga, Samoa and the Cook Islands, and is known as the Diocese of Polynesia. Publication: 'Anglican Taonga' (Treasure) is a publication affirming the unity and diversity of the Anglican community in these islands. .
