Diocese of Wellington - Vicar Full-Time, Pauatahanui Parish, Porirua - Applications close 5pm 31 January 2020

Diocese of Wellington - Vicar Full-Time, Pauatahanui Parish, Porirua - Applications close 5pm 31 January 2020

The Parish of Pauatahanui is looking for a full-time vicar to lead the congregation of St Andrew’s in Plimmerton, and to administer across our Parish, which covers from Pukerua Bay in the north, to St Alban’s in Pauatahanui and Papakowhai in the south, and includes Paremata and Plimmerton.

Our vision is one of Legacy, Community, Transformation and Good News.  Our St Andrew’s congregation includes all age worship, while historic St Alban’s at Pauatahanui is more of a traditional NZ Prayer Book Service.  We are multi-faceted with a range of groups and interests.

We need a leader, who is open to ideas and can encourage and grow us as disciples, enable and equip us for living out our faith, and can work with our wider community (local iwi, the local cluster and churches).  A person with a background in family (of all ages) and children’s ministry would be ideal; someone who can make us think and reflect, who is friendly and empathetic with a heart for God and His people.  We want the right person who discerns the call to journey with us.

Come and work in a beautiful area, with good local schools, and handy to Wellington, the Hutt Valley and the Kāpiti Coast. You will be supported by a parish administrator, children’s worker, retired clergy, and an engaged Vestry and lay leadership.

To learn more about our Parish and the opportunities we offer, please read our Parish profile by emailing the Bishop’s EA, Rebecca Apperley – rebecca@anglicanmovement.nz.

Please also send your application and CV to Rebecca by 5pm, 31st January 2020.
