Diocese of Polynesia - Diocesan Youth Director, Lotu Youth Mission Community

Applications are invited to this Diocesan position within the Diocese of Polynesia.

The Diocesan Youth Director is a key position in supporting and encouraging those in youth ministry in the Diocese.

This position provides the link between the Diocese and those in youth ministry at the ministry unit levels and to the wider 3 Tikanga of The Anglican Church in Aotearoa, New Zealand and Polynesia.

The primary role of the position is to deliver the Lotu Youth Mission Community Programme, [designed by the Lotu Youth Advisory Committee], in line with the Diocesan Strategic Plan, and manage the Lotu Youth budget.

The Diocese of Polynesia is looking for an active and committed Anglican, passionate about youth ministry and their place in the life of the Church, with an experience of Anglican youth work from the grassroots level, to the level of the wider church.

The 1992 Constitution of this Church provides for three partners to order their affairs within their own cultural context. Within Aotearoa New Zealand, Tikanga Pakeha comprises seven Dioceses, Tikanga Maori comprises five Amorangi, the boundaries of which differ from those of the dioceses. Tikanga Pasefika encompasses Fiji, Tonga, Samoa and the Cook Islands, and is known as the Diocese of Polynesia. Publication: 'Anglican Taonga' (Treasure) is a publication affirming the unity and diversity of the Anglican community in these islands. .
