Applications are invited from Anglican clergy for the position of Senior Associate Priest of Christchurch Cathedral.  Christchurch Transitional Cathedral is a vibrant focus of the Christian faith in the heart of the city, engaging with the life of the city and ministering to its needs.

The Associate Priest is a member of the ministry team of the Cathedral led by the Dean, Lawrence Kimberley, and deputises for the Dean in his absence. Amongst other attributes, we’re looking for someone who has a creative sense of liturgy and liturgical presence within an Anglican framework, a passion for developing their preaching style, a willingness to push at the edges with an empathy for the Cathedral’s mission, and who is energised by working in a team.

The Anglican Church in Aotearoa, New Zealand and Polynesia, is a constitutionally autonomous member of the worldwide Anglican Communion. The Anglican Church in Aotearoa, New Zealand and Polynesia encompasses the area described by its title. The 1992 Constitution of this Church provides for three partners to order their affairs within their own cultural context. Within Aotearoa New Zealand, Tikanga Pakeha comprises seven Dioceses, Tikanga Maori comprises five Amorangi, the boundaries of which differ from those of the dioceses. Tikanga Pasefika encompasses Fiji, Tonga, Samoa and the Cook Islands, and is known as the Diocese of Polynesia. Publication: 'Anglican Taonga' (Treasure) is a publication affirming the unity and diversity of the Anglican community in these islands. .
