Vicar: St Peter’s Anglican Church, Katikati

Vicar: St Peter’s Anglican Church, Katikati

Like many rural communities, Katikati is unique and yet has some similar qualities and shortcomings as other parishes within the Diocese and Aotearoa NZ. As a town Katikati is rapidly growing, more particularly with an older age group of people yet the primary and secondary schools flourish. Our horticultural crops of kiwifruit and avocados dominate the rural landscape.

Ideally we are looking for a person who:

  • has a passion for Jesus Christ and the Word of God
  • is guided and led by the Holy Spirit
  • enjoys teaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ, Christian living, and discipleship
  • would encourage parishioners to continue to work with their gifts and ministry
  • interacts and encourages people from all walks of life, and has a listening ear
  • is passionate about seeing people grow in their faith and personal spirituality
  • has an active interest in the community, its people, and its cultural diversity
  • will encourage the parish as it seeks a new vision and help develop that vision to fruition together
  • works closely with other Christian denominations within Katikati.

This parish is well established but is open to change that fits with the will of God, the vision, and with its people. This Ministry Unit of St Peter’s Anglican Church, Katikati is a member of The Anglican Community of St. Mark (ACM).

This is a fulltime position with a vicarage situated separately, behind the large church complex. To receive a copy of our parish profile which includes full description of the position please contact the Bishops Office. Contact: bishopspa@wtanglican.nz
